The Rotary Club of Kelowna Foundation is registered as a Public Foundation to receive gifts from any person, estate, business, corporation, society, foundation, or Crown agency. Charity receipts for tax purposes are available.
Our MISSION  is to receive gifts to provide financial support for charitable purposes.
Our VISION is to change lives by connecting Rotarians and Friends of Rotary
with opportunities for charitable investment in:
  • Education and Youth
  • Health, wellness, and the environment
  • Alleviation of poverty, hunger and addiction
  • The well being of seniors and the disadvantaged
  • Local and international qualified charitable initiatives
Our LASTING IMPACT is achieved through collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kelowna by:
  • Supporting opportunities for those less fortunate in our community
  • Creating improvements beneficial to our community
  • Collaborating with partners to fund, implement and maintain Rotary initiatives
  • To provide effective stewardship of charitable gifts
  • To demonstrate good governance and accountability to Foundation donors and members
  • To collaborate with the Rotary Club of Kelowna to better serve Rotary initiatives
  • To consistently uphold Rotary principles and values.

The Rotary Club of Kelowna Charitable Society was incorporated in 1991 and registered as a Public Foundation.
A new era was initiated in April 2007 that involved a number of changes:
  • The name of the Society was changed to Rotary Club of Kelowna Foundation
  • All the voting members of the Rotary Club of Kelowna became the members of the Foundation
  • The governance of the Society was made independent from the governance of the Rotary Club
  • The finances of the Society were made independent from the finances of the Rotary Club
  • The purposes of the Society were expanded
  • The power to receive, invest and manage charitable gifts was expanded.
