Hello fellow Rotarians,
What an exciting week for our club last week - with 7 new members being inducted to our club.
A huge welcome to the new members: Anahita Tajadod, Allissa Wu, Jim Crandell, John Mulligan, Julie Mulligan, Patricia Livingstone and Tobi Byrne.
And our guest speaker, Renee Wasylyk talked about her life experiences and inspirations, property development and her intentions to seek nomination for the federal Conservative Party for Kelowna-Lake Country riding.
This week, District Governor Sherry Chamberlain will be visiting our club and will be giving us an update on what is happening at the District and Rotary International levels - so please make sure to attend the meeting - and invite a colleague or a friend as well. On Wednesday afternoon, she is hosting a social (picnic) starting at 4pm at Mission Creek Regional Park - please come and join her with your family and friends.
Also this week, our inbound student, Chiara Brunetti is arriving in Kelowna. She arrives at 10pm on Tuesday evening - and Doug Gossoo will have a big "Welcome Chiara" sign. Let's give her a big warm welcome by being at the airport at 10pm Tuesday night!
And don't forget to register for 2019 District Conference - early bird pricing ends Aug 31st, so register now!
As always, the Club is all about our members, so please bring any ideas, requests, or comments and we’ll keep being the best we can be.
All the best - and see you on Tuesday.
