The Rotary Club of Kelowna Foundation is registered as a Public Foundation to receive gifts from any person, estate, business, corporation, society, foundation, or Crown agency. Charity receipts for tax purposes are available.
 
Our MISSION is to foster a culture of philanthropy, manage and invest donor gifts, donations and bequests, and thereby provide financial support to qualified charitable organizations and purposes that are aligned with the Club purposes and goals.
 
Our VISION is to change lives by connecting Rotarians and Friends of Rotary with opportunities for charitable investment in:
  • Promoting Peace
  • Fighting Disease
  • Providing Clean Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
  • Saving Mothers and Children
  • Supporting Education
  • Growing Local Economies
  • Protecting the Environment
Our LASTING IMPACT is achieved through collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kelowna by:
  • Supporting opportunities for those less fortunate in our community
  • Creating improvements beneficial to our community
  • Collaborating with partners to fund, implement and maintain Rotary initiatives
Our COMMITMENT:
  • To provide effective stewardship of charitable gifts
  • To demonstrate good governance and accountability to Foundation donors and members
  • To collaborate with the Rotary Club of Kelowna to better serve Rotary initiatives
  • To consistently uphold Rotary principles and values.
 
History
The Rotary Club of Kelowna Charitable Society was incorporated in 1991 and registered as a Public Foundation.
A new era was initiated in April 2007 that involved a number of changes:
  • The name of the Society was changed to Rotary Club of Kelowna Foundation
  • All the voting members of the Rotary Club of Kelowna became the members of the Foundation
  • The governance of the Society was made independent from the governance of the Rotary Club
  • The finances of the Society were made independent from the finances of the Rotary Club
  • The purposes of the Society were expanded
  • The power to receive, invest and manage charitable gifts was expanded.
 
Update 2023-2024
Into our 32nd Year, we are pleased to announce our Board: Catherine Comben, President, Chuck Cey, Vice President, Mark Rogers, Treasurer, James Kay, Secretary, Sheldon Paulger, Investment Committee Chair, Colleen Lees, Hugh McLellan, John Mulligan, Roy Sommerey, and appointed to provide insight and guidance, Ken Laloge, Assistant to the Treasurer.
