- Do you know anyone that has had bypass surgery or had a stint inserted?
- Do you know anyone using statins?
- Do you know anyone that has been trained in CPR?
- Do you know anyone that has received CPR?
- Do you know anyone that has survived a stroke?
I would be very surprised if you answered No to all or any of these questions.
In fact, several of our members are living proof of the tremendous benefit received from the extensive and successful research that is undertaken every year by the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Without this important research to develop and perfect all the procedures, medications and life saving techniques, many of us would not be here today..png)

Did you know that in Canada we lose 1 person every 7 minutes to a Cardiac event. Quick access and use of an AED increases the likelihood of surviving a cardiac event from 10% to 80%. The Heart & Stroke Foundation has placed over 170 AEDs within the local region (Okanagan/Kootenay).
I truly believe that our community benefits greatly and directly from the funds we raise for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
In my humble opinion, our Club directly receives significantly more benefit from the Heart & Stroke Foundation than what we raise for them, thru the presence of many of our amazing members that would not be here today, if the Heart & Stroke Foundation did not do what they do.
If you can't SADDLE UP with us to help pedal that BIG Bike around Kelowna... Please consider a donation to support a fellow Rotarian that is on the Bike Team!
You never know... The life you save might even be your own!
